Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, oversee hourly Associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
9. Assist with receipt and return of merchandise, including DSD merchandise.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness.
11. Manage cashiering activities and ensure cash handling guidelines are followed.
12. Manage promotional displays and seasonal areas.
13. Coordinate signage and merchandise replenishment.
14. Assist with scheduling, supplies, and expense control.
15. Maintain checkout area and store displays to maximize sales.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
