Responsible for assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated and assigned by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations. Also assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is absent, take supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information, and other store-related communications.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily and that the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure cash handling practices and guidelines are followed.
• Oversee promotional displays and seasonal areas to maximize sales.
• Coordinate signage and manage store supplies and expenses.
• Assist with merchandising, maintaining checkout areas, and refilling coolers and displays daily.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules and managing store operations efficiently.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
