Job summary

HydroPoint Data Systems is seeking an Operations Assistant to assist in product manufacturing, shipping, warehouse support, testing and calibration, and quality control. The role involves data entry, material handling, and ensuring safety protocols are followed in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 0–2 years of related experience, with basic PC skills and familiarity with warehouse operations. Overtime may be required during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Required Skills & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and 0–2 years of related experience or training.
• Basic PC knowledge and ability to interpret basic data.
• Manufacturing/warehouse or assembly experience is preferred.
• Shipping/receiving and mechanical assembly experience is expected.
• Forklift experience is a plus and certification may follow.

Responsibilities

• Perform product manufacturing, shipping, warehouse, quality control, and engineering support duties as directed.
• Operate test and measurement equipment and follow assembly documentation.
• Record production data and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Safely use material handling equipment and palletize products.
• Support administrative shop operations and participate in peak activity periods.

Job description

This role is responsible for product manufacturing, shipping, warehouse support duties, testing and calibration, quality control, and general data entry and collection activities. This role requires the operations assistant to be productive with supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing product manufacturing, shipping, warehouse, quality control, and engineering support duties and activities as directed.

• Operating test and measurement equipment.
• Following assembly documentation.
• Maintaining quality processes and procedures.
• Collecting and recording technical data, verifying compliance with specifications.
• Conducting mechanical product assembly and packaging.
• Facilitating shipping and receiving using various automated methods.
• Recording activity through data entry operations.
• Using warehouse equipment, manifest and information collection systems, and label printers.
• Safely using various material handling equipment.
• Palletizing product, loading and unloading material and equipment.
• Performing administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
• Working during peak activity times (month/quarter end, inventory), with overtime as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote workplace safety.

Required Skills & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 0-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate/ratio/percent).
• Ability to interpret bar graphs.
• Manufacturing/warehouse experience and/or assembly experience.
• Shipping and receiving.
• Mechanical assembly.
• Solder and basic PCA assembly is a plus.
• Familiarity with warehouse support equipment.
• Forklift experience (or ability to become forklift certified) is a plus.
• Participate in team events and company activities.
• If new Level 1 employees have prior industry experience, they are eligible to be considered for level change based on manager/supervisor assessment within 12 months.
