Job Summary
Operations & Logistics Specialist – support our Logistics and International Planning teams with a blend of data analysis and logistics operations (≈50% analytical, ≈50% administrative). The role involves leveraging multiple systems to generate reports, track KPIs, identify operational deficiencies, and improve processes. You will be a key point of contact for order entry, operations, and logistics queries, ensuring efficient escalation and resolution. This hybrid, in‑office and remote position is based in Rosemont, IL, with remote flexibility for approved roles.
Responsibilities
- Record and communicate KPIs by logging incidents and working with the supervisor for reporting metrics.
- Create and maintain digital ISO and process documentation for the International Planning Group/Transportation.
- Create and maintain reports and data using Excel, OBI, and Oracle.
- Serve as the SME for all logistics processes.
- Act as liaison between the business and IT when supporting projects.
- Escalate operational issues to management promptly for resolution.
- Represent the department in internal meetings and projects as needed.
- Train and mentor team members.
- Manage time‑sensitive tasks (QA holds, item changes, date moves, ATO scheduling).
- Handle order/quote entry and complete transactions in the system.
- Process drop ships, RMAs, and MITs as required.
- Attend item meetings to become an item expert for the team.
- Maintain and improve the Latin‑America Order Form.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate degree or 2+ years of experience in logistics, exports, or supply‑chain functions.
- Ability to multitask across disciplines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Very strong written and oral communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong customer‑service, analytical, interpersonal, and decision‑making skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Oracle ERP and OBI systems is preferred.
