Job summary

Capital District Physicians Health Plan Inc offers a 10-week paidSummer College Internship Program for undergrad and graduate students. Interns join the Population Health Enterprise Operations & Optimization team, gaining hands-on experience in healthcare affordability, process improvement, and analytics.

Mentors guide projects, with cross-functional exposure and executive presentation opportunities. Development workshops focus on business concepts; housing is not included.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across audiences.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and data tools (Excel, Power BI/Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Support operations and analytics projects within Population Health Enterprise.
• Work with mentors and stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
• Create presentations and executive summaries at internship completion.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company values and Code of Conduct.
• Assist in regular reporting, data analysis, and process improvement efforts.
