Career Group is hiring an Operations Analyst for a fast-moving project supporting the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) operations team at a leading global financial institution in downtown Salt Lake City. The role is full-time, onsite, starts ASAP and runs through year-end with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• 6 months to 1+ year of experience in financial services, asset management, or brokerage operations.
• Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle (execution, clearing, settlement, custody).
• Familiarity with equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and retirement/IRA products.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Clear, professional communication and quick learning on the job.
• Longer workdays may be required during the project.

Responsibilities

• Work a daily queue of items such as trade matching, account onboarding, and settlements.
• Process and analyze large volumes of data accurately.
• Spot, investigate, and resolve trade breaks and settlement exceptions.
• Partner with front-office and support teams, including compliance, legal, and technology.
• Help maintain a strong control environment to prevent operational errors.
