Job summary

Southwest Airlines Co. is seeking an Operations Agent to support ground operations at the gate, ensuring safe, on-time departures and smooth customer experiences.

You will assist with boarding, verifying flight details, coordinating with Ramp, Provisioning and Dispatch, and communicating across teams to keep flights on schedule. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift 70 pounds, and obtain a SIDA badge.

Qualifications

• No education requirement.
• Two years of airline/military related work experience preferred (ramp/operations/provisioning).
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service to and maintain positive relationships with Customers.
• Coordinate Ramp, Operations, Provisioning and servicing aircraft to ensure on-time departures and quick turnarounds.
• Communicate with Gate Agents and Dispatch to manage boarding and flight movements.
• Operate boarding bridge and manage boarding/deplaning of Customers.
• Prepare dispatch releases and weather reports for Crew; ensure proper weight and balance calculations.
