Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking an Operations Agent to help flights take off safely and on time. You will assist customers boarding, verify flight details like weight and balance, and coordinate with ramp, provisioning and aircraft servicing teams to ensure on-time departures.

The role requires readiness for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and potential overtime. A strong emphasis on exceptional customer care and teamwork, with opportunities for training and growth within Ground Operations

Qualifications

• Must be GSC qualified.
• Must comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing program.
• Ability to read documents, follow instructions, learn ramp operations procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly service to customers and maintains positive relationships.
• Coordinates loading and unloading of aircraft by monitoring ramp activities.
• Prepares dispatch release forms and collects weather reports for the crew.
• Operates boarding bridge and coordinates boarding/deplaning of customers.
• Ensures aircraft are properly cleaned and provisioned prior to departure.
• Maintains ground security and follows safety procedures.
