Job summary

Lynden Incorporated in Carson, CA is seeking an Operations Agent to support the Domestic Operations team across the full life cycle of freight shipping, from price quoting to final delivery. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and customer service in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will process shipment documents, track shipments, assist billing, ensure compliance with DOT/HAZMAT/IATA, and support warehouse activities.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new operational systems.
• Strong mathematical aptitude for pricing, weights, and measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret tariffs, procedures, and operational documents.
• Minimum of three years of freight forwarding, air freight, or domestic operations experience.
• Ability to obtain a STA badge.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana).
• Familiarity with Hawaii trade lanes.

Responsibilities

• Process shipment documentation such as bills of lading, delivery manifests, and safety data sheets.
• Track and trace shipments and enter delivery reporting updates into our system.
• Support timely client and vendor billing/collections operations.
• Assess, analyze, and resolve complex shipping situations while meeting expectations.
• Provide outstanding service through daily communication with customers.
• Maintain compliance with DOT, IATA, and HAZMAT regulations.
• Support warehouse operations by loading, unloading, and staging freight.
• Respond to emails and operational issues promptly.

Lynden Logistics is looking for an Operations Agent to support our Domestic Operations team in Carson, CA . As our Operations Agent,you’llsupport the full life cycle of ourfreightshipping services – frompricequoting tofinal delivery. This is asafetysensitive position.

Pay Range:
$28–$32 per hour.

Position Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM, with overtime and on-call availability as needed.

Whatyou’llbe doing:

Process shipment documentation such as bill of ladings (BOLs), delivery manifests, and safety data sheets.

Track and trace shipments and enter delivery reporting updates into our operational system.

Support timely client and vendor billing/collections operations.

Assess, analyze, and problem solve complex, gray-area shipping situations while meeting company and customer expectations.

Provide outstanding, friendly service through daily communication with internal and external customers.

Maintain compliance with HAZMAT, IATA, and DOT regulations, SOPs, and company standards.

Support our warehouse operations by loading, unloading, and staging freight as needed.

Respond to emails, customer requests, and operational issuesin a timely manner.
