Job summary

Ashland LLC. in Hopewell, VA is seeking an Operations Administrator to join our Specialty Additives unit.

The role reports to the Operations Leader and is highly visible within the company, focusing on administrative leadership, workflow improvement, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will manage daily production reporting, SAP data entry, and coordination of meetings and communications across operations, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to move around the plant and lift 25lbs.
• Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times.
• Ability to drive value through understanding the business and making complex decisions.
• Strong people skills and the ability to support others.
• Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Workflow Leader – improve workflows, reporting, efficiency, and coordinate initiatives.
• Production Reporting Coordinator – maintain/improve daily reports, SAP input, track metrics, own databases and dashboards.
• Operations Communication Coordinator – manage meetings, agendas, actions, and cross-functional communications.
• Documentation and Compliance Administrator – maintain procedures/logs/records and support audits.
• Outage Support – assist with outage planning documentation and schedules.
• Unit Specific Training/Onboarding Support – support onboarding, training matrices, and certifications.
• Purchasing and Inventory Support – input purchasing reqs/invoices, track inventories, support budgets.
• Operation General Support – support projects, audits, and improvement initiatives and lead department activities.
