Job summary

FirstEnergy in Holland, OH seeks a Planner Scheduler to manage short-range planning and scheduling of field activities across overhead/underground facilities. The role focuses on optimizing resources, maintaining the work queue, and coordinating with operations supervision to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient execution.

Qualifications

• Education - bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or related discipline; 1-2 years related work experience or 3+ years without degree.
• Proficiency with PC software including Microsoft Office and SAP, FEWS, PowerOn, GIS, CREWS, AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of planning, scheduling, prioritization of work, and construction/maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule operations center activities, manage work queue, staffing, and materials.
• Use FEWS to assign work, coordinate with crews, and track progress daily.
• Generate and interpret reports, provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align work with budget and forecasts.
• Support emergencies and travel to various site locations as needed.
• Maintain safety and compliance with FirstEnergy policies.
