Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Senior Finance professional to serve as a strategic partner to construction operations and lead regional financial teams. You will oversee GAAP reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with SOX and company policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating financial analyses, supporting operational planning, and driving process improvements across shared services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of practical work experience in finance within construction or related industries.
• Progressive and well-rounded experience in business-related functions in heavy civil construction or construction materials.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal abilities with a focus on internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial guidance and act as a financial business partner to construction operations leaders.
• Oversee regional financial managers and staff to deliver GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Coordinate consolidation of operational finance analyses (revenue, margins, SG&A, cash flow).
• Support development of short- and long-term operational plans with financial insight.
• Maintain SOX compliance, risk controls, and insurance/bond requirements.
• Assist annual budgeting, long-range forecasts, and quarterly projections.
• Collaborate with corporate accounting and SSC on shared services and process improvements.
• Lead payroll, purchasing, payables, billings, and cash management across projects.
