Job summary

Finatal is seeking a Director of Finance to serve as the senior financial leader, shaping strategy, controls, and cash management for a growing construction services business in the United States. This role partners with Operations, Preconstruction, and Executive Leadership to drive profitability and scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing accounting and finance functions.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting and project financial management.
• Experience with WIP reporting.
• Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Experience with job costing.
• Experience with project forecasting.
• Experience managing banking, bonding, and insurance relationships.
• Strong financial analysis and business partnership skills.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting and financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Provide actionable insights to support growth, profitability, and operational decision-making.
• Partner with Operations and Preconstruction leadership to improve project performance and margin management.
• Oversee project financial performance, including job costing, forecasting, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, backlog analysis, and profitability reporting.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs that improve visibility into labor productivity, project risk, cash flow, and margin performance.
• Drive automation, standardization, and process improvements across finance and administration functions.
• Support data-driven decision making throughout the organization.
