Job summary

Hendrick Technical Solutions in Charlotte, NC is seeking a self-starting Operational Excellence Intern to support continuous improvement activities and change management. The role includes cross-functional teamwork, data-driven improvements, and ISO 9001:2015 process alignment.

The intern will perform quality inspections, develop performance metrics, and work with BI/reporting tools to analyze data and drive process excellence. This is a part-time internship aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Lean Six Sigma coursework preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in teams or projects.
• Minimum GPA 2.8.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional project teams within manufacturing, vehicle production and supporting operations.
• Make improvement recommendations to management based on observation and analysis.
• Assist in the creation of world class internal processes in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
• Interface daily with team members at varying levels within the organization to promote alignment of processes and systems.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure production quality meets customer standards.
• Develop and manage key metrics for measuring performance to a standard.
