Job summary

Elanco Animal Health seeks a Summer 2027 Operational Excellence Intern for the Elwood, KS manufacturing plant. You will join the global OpEx team delivering projects that improve efficiency and drive OpEx initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and best practices.

You will assist with data analysis, workflow optimization, and cost-time savings while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a pharmaceutical setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Currently enrolled in engineering, science, or data analysis field.
• Top skills: Experience in Microsoft Suites, willingness to learn, and interest in data and process improvement.
• Internship or professional experience in process improvement and optimization is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are beneficial.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are valuable.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other best practices to drive operational excellence (OpEx) initiatives.
• Work on projects focused on optimizing workflows, eliminating waste, and enhancing overall productivity.
• Utilize data analysis to establish process improvement methods.
• Investigate ideas for cost-savings and time management.
• Work within cross-functional teams to implement process improvements within a pharmaceutical space.
