Job summary

Hendrick Technical Solutions is seeking a self-starting student to join the Operational Excellence team in deploying continuous improvement initiatives and change management. You will be an analytical problem solver with strong soft skills to collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma coursework or experience preferred.
  • Evidence of leadership in teams/projects or extracurricular activities.
  • Outstanding academic achievement and aptitude in the chosen field.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional project teams within manufacturing, vehicle production and supporting operations.
  • Make improvement recommendations to management based on observation and analysis.
  • Assist in creating world class internal processes in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Interface daily with team members at varying levels to align processes and systems.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure production quality meets customer standards.
  • Develop and manage key metrics for measuring performance to a standard.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to analyze data from multiple sources using BI/reporting tools.

Location: 4400 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262

We are looking for a self-starting individual to join the Operational Excellence team in their deployment of continuous improvement activities and change management. The successful graduate/undergraduate will be an analytical problem solver, while also possessing the necessary soft skills that enable success in this field.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams within manufacturing, vehicle production and supporting operations
  • Make improvement recommendations to management based on observation and analysis
  • Assist in the creation of world class internal processes in accordance with ISO 9001:2015
  • Interface daily with team members at varying levels within the organization to promote the alignment of processes and systems.
  • Perform quality inspections in accordance with documented procedures to ensure production quality is meeting customer standards
  • Develop and manage key metrics for measuring performance to a standard
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to acquire, assimilate, and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources using a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools.
Qualifications
  • Candidates be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or other related fields.
  • It is preferred the candidate has experience or coursework in Lean Six Sigma
  • A strong record of team, project and/or people leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities
  • Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude for your area of study
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8
