Oriental is seeking an Operational Accounting Associate to join our Finance Operations team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. You will help maintain the accuracy of accounting processes, support Accounts Payable, General Ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end close, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

You will gain valuable exposure to core accounting operations while working alongside experienced finance professionals in a collaborative hybrid environment.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum of one year of accounting or accounting support experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data retrieval, formulas and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Responsabilidades

• Support timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions while maintaining strong financial controls.
• Perform account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
• Assist with month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and support journal entries and other general accounting transactions.
• Maintain data integrity within Accounts Payable systems and validate supporting documentation.
• Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve payment-related inquiries from vendors and internal partners.
• Perform bank reconciliations and help maintain accurate operational accounting records.
• Generate, analyze and interpret financial reports to support management decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and tighten controls.
• Participate in process improvement and automation projects.
