Job summary

RGP is seeking an Operational Accountant to support key accounting and financial operations across the organization, acting as a link between finance, operations, and stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, robust controls, and process efficiency.

The role involves month-end close support, journal entries, reconciliations, cash management, and operational reporting, with opportunities to participate in process improvements, system implementations, and audits, all in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and close processes.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial close.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Workday/Dynamics).
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling.
• CPA, CPA-track, or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with timely reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statements, investigate variances.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash management, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Assist with cash flow reporting, forecasting, and treasury activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting per policy.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Participate in system implementations and automation initiatives.
• Develop financial and operational reports for leadership.
