Job summary

Randstad USA seeks an Operational Account Coordinator – Ground in Houston to serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts. You will convert booking requests into validated entries in e2open TMF, consolidate freight, and manage real-time tracking and communications with customers.

Responsibilities include validating orders, coordinating pickups, and escalating delays to the Program Manager as needed. A strong background in 3PL operations and TMS systems is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in 3PL/freight account coordination or related roles.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, Teams; experienced with TMS platforms.
• Knowledge of domestic shipping modes (FTL/LTL/Intermodal) and the full shipment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Receive and validate booking requests, build orders in customer platforms and TMF.
• Consolidate freight by reviewing open load boards to prevent duplicates and rework.
• Coordinate pickup/delivery dates with clients and docks; keep TMF and Aljex synchronized.
• Monitor delays in Aljex/Open Dock boards and escalate to appropriate teams.

Role Summary

Serves as the primary operational contact for an assigned customer account. Converts customer booking requests into validated entries in e2open TMF, checks open loads to consolidate freight and eliminate duplicate orders, and manages real-time tracking, appointment updates, and customer communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Intake & Validation: Receive booking requests via email/portal, verify all shipment details, and build orders in customer platforms and e2open TMF. Resolve data gaps prior to downstream handoffs.
• Load Consolidation: Review open load boards before booking to consolidate freight. Promptly alert supervisors via Teams to prevent duplicate carrier coverage and rework.
• Customer & Appointment Management: Act as the single voice to the account. Coordinate pickup/delivery dates with clients, origin/destination docks, and internal specialists, ensuring TMF and Aljex remain synchronized.
• Exception Tracking & Escalation: Monitor Aljex and Open Dock boards for delays. Escalate critical delays to operations, systemic/software gaps to the Program Manager, and security concerns to GSOC.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–4 years in 3PL/freight account coordination, transportation customer service, or ground operations.
• Systems: Hands‑on experience with TMS platforms (e2open TMF and Descartes Aljex preferred), customer portals, and dock scheduling tools. Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of domestic modes (FTL, LTL, Intermodal), cross‑border documentation, and the complete shipment lifecycle.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
• Years of experience: 10 years
• Experience level: Experienced
