Job summary

Armed Services YMCA seeks an Operation Hero Facilitator at Soloman Elementary School, Schofield Barracks, to implement and run the program for military kids. The role is seasonal/part-time (12 weeks, 17.5 hours per week) and reports to the Branch Director.

You will plan lessons, coordinate resources, and document attendance and progress while upholding YMCA values. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and experience with children in groups; sports

Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience working with children in a group setting is required.
Sports background or ability to lead sports activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement and facilitate the Operation Hero program for up to eight children.
Develop lesson plans and submit weekly; prep resources and snacks per YMCA guidelines.
Review student packets and maintain attendance, reports, and incident logs.
Create organized classroom spaces and maintain safety and cleanliness.
Respond to feedback within 48 hours after consulting with Branch Director.
Attend weekly meetings and help evaluate program effectiveness.
Incorporate YMCA core values into lesson plans and daily actions.
