Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the college Physical Plant and all related equipment. The Operating Engineer is responsible for serving in the capacity of maintenance mechanic when supplemental staffing is needed.Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or the equivalent and a Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer’s license required.
A minimum of two years of experience in electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling and general maintenance and repair is required.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling and general maintenance and repair.
Proficient oral, written and electronic communication skills.
Working knowledge of computerized building automation systems.
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty staff and the public.
Ability to work safely and reliably with minimum of supervision. Flexibility regarding work location, duties, hours and shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal training in building automation systems.
Working knowledge of various trades.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package .
