Job summary

Asbury Communities in Montgomery County, MD is seeking a seasoned Plant Operations professional to maintain plant machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance. This full-time role involves troubleshooting, rounds, and keeping leadership informed of changes to equipment and systems.

You will work to identify and fix problems, uphold safety standards, and train staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Prefer 5 years of experience in Plant Operations or Stationary Engineering.
• 2nd Grade Maryland Engineers License preferred.
• A/B underground storage tank operator certification must be provided within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform regular preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and accessories.
• Troubleshoot, test, and take rounds; record readings on plant equipment and systems.
• Keep the Chief Engineer and Lead Engineer up to date on any plant changes.
• Work with equipment to identify or correct problems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and AMV plant procedures.
• Perform on-the-job training when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

• $33.75 - $39.40/ hour
