Job summary

Centrum Surgery Center in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Radiologic Technologist OR PRN. The role requires preparing and operating radiographic, X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under physician direction in the operating room.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited radiology degree, Texas MRT license, ARRT certification and BLS. Two years radiology experience (one in OR) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or AS in Radiology studies.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
• Certified by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field in the operating room and follow best practices.
• Position patient and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality X-ray images.
• Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and monitor exposure settings.
• Distribute films and transfer images to EMR as required.
• Perform quality control checks on X-ray units and schedule repairs as needed.
