Job summary

Centrum Surgery Center in San Antonio, TX seeks a Radiologic Technologist OR to join our team. The role focuses on preparing and operating radiographic equipment in the operating room under physician direction.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile field, adjusting exposure factors, and ensuring radiation safety. Candidates must be MRT licensed in Texas, ARRT certified, with 2 years radiology experience (1 in OR) and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program; licensed in Texas as MRT; ARRT certification.
• Two years of radiology experience in a healthcare facility, with at least one year in the OR.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and follow infection-control policies in the OR.
• Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment with proper exposure settings.
• Protect patients and staff with radiation safety measures including shielding.
• Capture and evaluate X-ray images; retake if needed for diagnostic quality.
• Transfer images to EMR and ensure timely patient flow.
• Perform quality control and minor equipment repairs as needed.
