Job summary

The ideal candidate has completed a Surgical Technology program, with no prior experience required. BLS is needed within 6 months, and the department covers a fast-paced OR environment with lifting and transport duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in the preparation of materials, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of various operating room equipment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides a clean, safe and efficient area conducive to optimal patient care.
• Utilizes aseptic techniques in preparation and handling of materials and instruments.
• Performs a range of procedures and maintains knowledge of various surgical tasks.
• Ensures the environmental disinfection, safety and efficiency of the operating room.
• Functions as a Second Assistant as necessary.
• Transports patients and/or equipment and supplies.
