Huntsville Memorial Hospital in Huntsville, TX is seeking an Operating Room Technician to work under the ASC Administrator and alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses.

You will prepare supplies, maintain sterile technique, participate in planning and implementing care, ensure infection control, protect patient privacy and PHI, and contribute to quality improvement and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Operating Room Technique program or a school of vocational nursing.
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST), Licensed Surgical Assistant (LSA) or eligible within six months.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Assists the ASC Nurse with data collection for planned surgical intervention.
• Assists in developing a plan of care to attain expected outcomes.
• Implements interventions identified in the plan of care with the surgical team.
• Evaluates patient progress toward outcomes with the ASC Nurse.
• Demonstrates sterile technique and infection prevention protocols.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality, including PHI.
• Participates in Quality Improvement programs and ASC team meetings.
• Contributes to survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
