Job summary

Oak Valley Hospital District invites applications for a certified Operating Room Technician in the Surgical Services department. The candidate will report to the Nurse Manager, providing basic care under supervision and supporting patient and family needs.

This role serves diverse age groups from pediatric to geriatric in the OR setting. Requires a high school diploma, 6 months of acute care or GI/Endoscopy experience, basic math; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; current AHA BLS and CRCST

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months’ experience in acute care surgery or GI/Endoscopy preferred.
• Basic math calculations ability required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Current AHA BLS certification required or in process.
• CRCST certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, individualized basic care activities under supervision.
• Assist in the operating room according to established procedures.
• Communicate with Nurse Manager and team to support patient care.

Performs duties under the general direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager or Registered Nurse. Responsible for providing high quality individualized basic care activities within the scope of practice.
