Job summary

Eyecare Partners Surgery Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a Surgical Technician (Part Time) to assist in the operating room under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, and surgical assistants. You will help prepare the OR, set up instruments, and ensure the environment aligns with Federal, State, and accreditation standards while delivering a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of hospital main operating room experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in surgical operations under supervision of Surgeons, RNs and Surgical Assistants.
• Helps prepare Operating Room by setting up instruments and ensuring equipment works properly.
• Manages sterile technique and supplies, passes instruments, and assists with patient transfer to PACU if needed.
• Maintains records of medications, specimens, and implants during surgery.
