Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare seeks a student in the Surgical Technologist program to assist in the operating room, preparing the patient and room for planned procedures under OR supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, enrollment in the Surgical Technologist Program, and BLS certification. First clinical rotation completed preferred. This role provides hands-on experience and supports our mission of excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be currently enrolled in the Surgical Technologist Program.
• BLS Required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Surgeon.
• Prepares patient and room for the planned surgical procedures.
• Performs under the direction/supervision of OR personnel (RNs and/or OR Technicians)
