Job summary

Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room under supervision. You will set up equipment, pass instruments to surgeons, and help count supplies to support patient safety during procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, CST preferred, and 3–5 years of OR scrub experience. This onsite role offers a 40-hour work week and a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• CST certification preferred.
• NBSTSA preferred.
• Medical Technician license/credentialing preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in operating room scrubbing in multiple specialties required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in time out procedures.
• Attains extra supplies and equipment as needed.
• Sets up equipment independently.
• Participates as active member of the Patient Care Team.
• Monitors operating room conditions and patient needs.
• Prepares patients for surgery, including positioning and sterile draping.
• Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room.
