Job summary

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER in Ohio seeks an Operating Room Technician to support the OR team, maintain clean, efficient services, and provide patient care from neonate to geriatric. The role includes staff orientation to equipment and procedures and modeling professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certification as a CST from NBSTSA is required.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support or must obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs various duties in the operating room.
• Maintains the cleanliness and efficiency of operating room services.
• Performs limited neonate through geriatric patient care services.
• Orients employees to equipment and procedures.
• Serves as a role model to other operating room technicians and students.
• Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
