Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology (CST)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Performs various duties in the operating room.
• Maintains the cleanliness and efficiency of operating room services.
• Performs limited neonate through geriatric patient care services.
• Orients employees to equipment and procedures.
• Serves as a role model to other operating room technicians and students.
• Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA

Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
