Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to support operating room services. The role involves performing various duties in the OR, maintaining cleanliness and efficiency, and providing patient care from neonatal to geriatric populations.

The ideal candidate will orient staff to equipment and procedures and serve as a role model while upholding MetroHealth’s mission, values, and service standards. OT shifts are variable with biweekly hours totaling 80.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• CST certification with NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs various duties in the operating room.
• Maintains cleanliness and efficiency of operating room services.
• Performs limited neonate through geriatric patient care services.
• Orients employees to equipment and procedures.
• Serves as a role model to other OR technicians and students.
• Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards.
