Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist II for a 36-hour evening schedule. The role emphasizes preparation and maintenance of the operating room as well as assisting with peri-operative patient care, in collaboration with surgeons and nurses in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited technologist program, and certification within one year of graduation.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Current Surgical Technologist Certification is required within one year from graduation or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting is required.
• BSLS (Basic Life Support) is preferred or required as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains the operating room environment for surgical cases.
• Assists with peri-operative patient care and collaborates with surgeons and nurses to ensure efficiency.
