Responsibilities

• Ensures required supplies are available and anticipates Surgeon preferences.
• Maintains a clean, safe sterile field and assists with gowning, gloving, draping, and instrument handling.
• Operates and positions equipment and reports any equipment issues or shortages.
• Trains Surgical Technologists and Surgical Assistants as needed.
• Performs validated competencies under supervision of the surgeon.
