Qualifications

• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers, or completion within three (3) months of employment.
• Pass Basic Aseptic Technique class within 90 days of hire or transfer into role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to fulfill on-call and weekend shift requirements and provide emergency staffing support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely using proper handling techniques.
• Consults with anesthesiologist and RN to determine equipment needs.
• Prepares room with necessary equipment ahead of procedures.
• Manages post-surgical case carts and reprocessing workflows.
• Sets up fluid warmers and sterile supplies for anesthesia.
• Ensures timely OR turnover with cleaning and setup.
• Transports blood products and specimens following safety protocols.
• Stocks supplies in OR, SDS, and PACU as directed.
• Verifies temperatures and maintains auxiliary rooms as needed.
• Supports surgeon and staff per scope of practice.
