St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Surgical Technician to support operative and invasive procedures. You will help prepare the OR, assist during surgeries, and serve as a preceptor for other techs to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role requires CST certification, BCLS (or instructor) within 30 days, and at least 1 year of hospital experience. The team emphasizes safety, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, well-organized OR environment.

Formación

• BCLS required or instructor certification within 30 days of start date.
• CST or TS-C certification required.
• 1 year hospital experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Competent in Level II procedures (spine, peripheral CV, advanced endoscopic, multi-specialty) as verified by competencies.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Central Processing to clean OR between patients per policy.
• Participate in safety initiatives to verify patient identity and procedure in the OR before prep.
• Leverage experience to anticipate and meet the surgeon’s needs.
• Follow safety protocols including hand hygiene, universal precautions, PPE, and isolation procedures.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and safe patient care environment with the team.
