Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking an OR Attendant to prepare patients and the surgical environment for the medical and nursing team. The role includes transporting and transferring patients, delivering supplies, and assisting nurses with basic OR functions.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm; call 1–2 times a month; BLS preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; position located at The Woodlands Hospital.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Ability to follow oral and written instructions and read and write English.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparation of patient and environment prior to surgery.
• Functions as a porter between departments to ensure delivery of supplies, information, specimens, and products.
• Ensures safe patient care in accordance with policies and budgetary specs; manages time and supplies.
• Supports professional growth and development through required education and competency.
• Demonstrates compassionate, personalized care and upholds Memorial Hermann service standards.
