Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• One year experience working in an operating room or surgical area in a hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist Environmental Services with room turnover; wipe down and dock Neptune's, set up specialized equipment/O.R. tables for next case.
• Transport patients from surgical floors to OR suite or other areas of the hospital, and move equipment and supplies to and from the OR.
• Transport blood products and specimens to and from their respective locations (Blood Bank, Mammography, Pathology, Cytology).
• Assist in transferring a patient from the OR table to the bed under clinical guidance.
• Ensure OR table and positioning devices are safely secured and ready to support a patient.
• Position patients for surgical procedures and hold extremities for skin prep.
• Maintain cleanliness of procedural areas and ensure no panels are blocked.
