Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking an employee to provide basic care services including patient, specimen, and equipment transport along with room cleaning and environment of care maintenance. The role supports the Product Coordinator with unpacking and restocking of supplies.

Responsibilities include prioritizing OR turnover, transporting equipment, maintaining clean facilities, and assisting with patient transfers while using proper body mechanics.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience/skills preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes OR suite cleaning for room turnover and cleans common areas within the perioperative area using prescribed procedures.
• Transports and handles essential equipment per policies and procedures.
• Maintains environment of care including scrub sinks and clutter-free hallways.
• Assists with transferring, transporting and positioning of patients using proper body mechanics.
• Stocks shelves with supplies and assists in restocking of warehouse items.
• Shelves and rooms upkeep consistent with par levels and equipment handling as needed.
