Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Aide in Boston, MA. Under supervision, you will assist in transporting patients to and from the operating room, help with turning, lifting and positioning, and support OR staff to maintain a safe environment.

You will participate in room setup, turnover, stocking, cleaning, and patient transport while following aseptic practices. This role requires a high school diploma and BLS certification, with a team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Able to read and write English and communicate effectively with OR staff.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the operating room and assist with transfers to tables.
• Assist with turning, lifting and positioning of patients under supervision.
• Set up and stock the OR with equipment, clean and disinfect after procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure hallways and rooms are clear of unnecessary equipment.
• Participate in trainings and unit meetings as directed.
