Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Aide to assist in transporting patients to and from the OR and to help with positioning and turning as needed. The role supports OR staff in maintaining sterile techniques and safety within the operating suite.

The position requires a high school diploma and BLS certification, with strong English literacy and teamwork skills. Expect full-time hours and any required training or meetings to support patient care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up OR with standard equipment and maintain readiness.
• Turnover and cleaning of OR surfaces with approved disinfectants.
• Assist staff with equipment needs and transfer of patients to/from OR.
• Clean, reassemble, and relabel operating room spaces after procedures.
• Stock warmers, fluids, and weekly supplies; manage waste and biohazard containers.
