Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with safe patient handling and turnover of the surgical environment under RN direction.
• Prepare and open supplies, instruments, and equipment for scheduled procedures.
• Assist with transportation, transfer, and positioning of patients; notify surgeon/anesthesiologist when patient is ready.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and support intra-operative patient care.
• Participate in staff meetings, orientation, and training; assist in emergencies under RN/MD direction.
• Transport specimens, blood, drugs, equipment between departments.
