Job summary

The Operating Room Liaison at MaineHealth coordinates daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department to ensure smooth case flow and timely patient care.

This role acts as the primary point of contact to resolve issues, plans and prepares sterile trays for OR cases, and supports efficient workflow across teams. A high school diploma and SPD or Surgical Tech experience are preferred, with CRCST certification welcome.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: CRCST certification preferred or Surgical Tech license.
• Experience: 1 year SPD or Surgical Tech experience preferred.
• Additional skills: N/A

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily activities between the OR and SPD to ensure efficient case flow.
• Serve as the point of contact to resolve issues that may arise.
• Plan, prepare, and maintain sterile trays for cases in the OR.
