Job summary

Surgical Directions is seeking a local 1099 Interim SPD OR Liaison in Boston to coordinate between the Sterile Processing Department and the Operating Room regarding supplies and setup.

As the primary liaison, you will assess surgeon and OR needs, manage case carts, ensure instrumentation is sterilized and ready, and support instrument improvement and daily SPD operations on a contract basis.

Qualifications

• 3 years of current OR experience or 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be local to Boston, MA.
• Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.

Responsibilities

• Audits case instrumentation for completeness and readiness.
• Serves as primary liaison among OR, SPD, surgeons and clinical stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
• Manages instrumentation turnover and prioritizes processing based on surgical schedules.
• Verifies instrumentation for scheduled procedures is sterilized and coordinated.
• Collaborates with SPD leadership to conduct satisfaction surveys.
• Manages case carts to confirm correct picking and OR setup.
