Job summary

Amberwell Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. The role emphasizes preparing and maintaining a sterile field, anticipating the surgeon’s needs, and assisting with instruments and patient care during procedures.

Ideal candidates will have healthcare experience, fine knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology, and completion of an accredited Surgical Technician or Medical Assistant program.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare setting with knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology.
• Preferred experience: 12 years as surgical technologist or similar as a practical nurse, medical assistant, or OR aide.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician or Medical Assistant program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the sterile field for various procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon and patient needs during procedures.
• Monitor medications on the sterile field and assist with dressings.
• Maintain sterile field and environment during surgeries.
• Participate in orientation and education of OR staff.
• Stock and restock medical supplies.
