Job summary

Avita Health System in Ontario, OH is seeking a dedicated Surgical Scrub Technician to join our Surgery Department at the Ontario location. You will assist the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures and ensure the operating suite is prepared for each case.

Responsibilities include monitoring instrument PAR levels, cleaning and sterilizing tools, and participating in staff meetings and performance improvement activities to uphold high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Preferred: Operating Room Technician certification.
• Preferred: LPN license.
• Preferred: 1 year OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.
• Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure.
• Monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies.
• Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments.
• Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS Certification

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

Operating Room Technician certification
