Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required.
• ACLS and CNOR are preferred certifications.
• BSN in progress or willingness to obtain within 3 years of hire.
• Approximately 2 years OR experience preferred.
• Several months of acute care RN experience required or active participation in HMH residency.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices per evidence-based policies to provide safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients and health-care team about status and plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations.
• Patient and family-centered education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharge planning for safe transitions.
