Job summary
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to support perioperative care in a busy operating room. You will deliver evidence-based nursing, communicate with the care team, and document care with advanced bar-scanning and bedside systems.
Requirements include NJ RN license, BLS/CPR, and a BSN or progression toward it within three years; at least one year in the OR is preferred. The organization emphasizes teamwork and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification is required.
- BSN or must obtain within 3 years.
- Minimum 1 year of OR RN experience required.
- National certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care per latest evidence-based practices and standards.
- Communicate with patients, peers, and health care team about status and plans.
- Assist in perioperative care and scrub/circulate on surgical cases.
- Document patient assessments and plans in real time.
- Educate patients and families to optimize health and recovery.
