Job summary

Regent Surgical Health is seeking an OR RN to deliver high-quality intraoperative patient care in operating rooms and procedure rooms. You will transport patients, prepare them for surgery, and ensure sterility and patient safety throughout procedures.

You will verify medications, assist surgeons, maintain the sterile field, and contribute to care plans and post-operative instructions. Collaboration with the surgical team ensures smooth operations and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license active in the appropriate state.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required by the ASC policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative care in procedure rooms and ORs.
• Transport patients to and from the operating/procedure room.
• Prepare patients by disinfecting the surgical site and positioning on the table.
• Ensure supplies, equipment, and medications are ready for use.
• Verify medication name, strength, and dosage.
• Verify patient, procedure, site, positioning and equipment.
• Perform timeout per policy and maintain sterile technique.
• Assist surgeon by passing instruments and managing sterile field.
• Keep OR stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Develop and implement care plans for surgical patients.
• Assist in storage and maintenance of surgical equipment.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare team for continuity of care.
• Apply aseptic techniques to instruments and equipment.
• Address patient questions and provide postoperative instructions.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces between cases.
• Problem-solve under stressful conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

RN license in appropriate State

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
